Mission

Bradley International Robotics has a mission to encourage innovation, build confidence, promote teamwork, and inspire students to become science and technology leaders.

About Us

Bradley International Robotics Academy is designed to engage elementary, middle school, and high school students in the exciting world of robotics. Students use a Raspberry Pi to build a high-quality, self-driving robot car. At Bradley International Robotics Academy, students develop teamwork and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) skills. Some of the skills students learn and develop in the coursework include:

  • Connecting remotely to the robotic car: Students will learn how to access the command line in terminal to connect to Raspberry Pi using SSH (Secure Shell) from another computer.

  • Programming the robot: Students will program the robot using the Python programming language. Through Python, students will learn the basics of how to run and test code.

  • Working as a team: Students will work in teams throughout the robot assembly processes and in the testing and running of their Python lessons.

Upon completion of the coursework, students are given the opportunity to showcase their robots in a friendly competition. The competition is designed to measure the effectiveness of each robot car, teamwork, and the determination of each student.

Bradley International Robotics Academy is affiliated with Windtree Education, a non-profit organization based in California, who is a fervent supporter of music, science and arts education.
