Beginning Robotics

Competitions:

Robot Dance II

With a more advanced knowledge of their robots and some basic choreography training, students will demonstrate their programming skills by making the robots dance with more precise controls, better arranged movements and higher musicality. Students will aso design and implement their own unique dance moves. Teams will be judged based on spatial usage, style and synchronicity.

Geometric Circuit II

Students will use the IR sensors on their robots to help their robots race through the course smoothly and guide them to specific bonus spots on the course.  It is a time-based competition where penalties will be added to the robots that bump and crash, while bonuses will be awarded to those who run precisely to certain spots on the course.

Route 66

Students will incorporate line-tracking sensors to navigate this elaborate and intricately-themed tour course.  With help from these sensors, the robots are programmed to tour “America” and perform tasks along the way to earn points.  Bumps and crashes will add penalties to their final scores.
